Had A Bad Day Again...

Yes, it is true. I had a bad day again (imagine music in the background). I guess that is why I am posting...not really, I just happen to have nothing better to do on a Friday night. Anyway, I slammed my thumb in the car door on the way to take Addy to school. Yes, I am a college graduate! I really don't know how I could be so stupid. I mean, I guess I do, but really...who slams their own thumb in the door? I managed to get it so stuck I had to yank with all my might to get the door back open. It hurt and still does like h***! I wanted to cry. Blake just gave me a blank look as I shrieked in pain, Adeline who thought I was kidding (ha, ha, funny Mom) yelled, 'What's the problem with you?'. Ahh...sympathy. None was to be had. So, I called my Mom and Dad. They felt sorry for me. Bad day. Not to be repeated.

Swimming Lessons

Addy started today.  We had to wake at the crack of dawn to get there on time.  The teacher did not show.  I am sure there was good reason.  Her 1/2 hour lesson started 20 minutes late with a substitute.  She cried when she was told they would be putting their faces under the water, but did it anyway.  She was so proud, I was so proud!  Next time she wants to swim in the fast lanes.  I told her it might take some time before she can do that...  

Haircut?

No.  I think I can just sweep his 'bangs' to the side.  Right??? 

A Visit to the North

We went North for the Memorial Weekend.  We visited Georgia.  My first official visit. I was impressed.  Atlanta is a fun city and the Northern Georgia Hills, I mean Mountains are beautiful.  Great trip.  We visited World of Coke, tasted EVERY sample available...60 from across the globe.  Lemon Bitters was my favorite.  The Georgia Aquarium was phenomenal!  We saw whale sharks.  Adeline informed us all they have 3,000 teeth.  Thanks Diego!  The Braves won their game, I think.  We got rained on a little bit.  Some smelly guy held his umbrella over my head while I crossed the street.  We moved further North and visited Helen.  It is a cute little town.  We went on a 'hike' (where I lost Addy's headband...so mad at myself...I hate loosing things), Adeline joined in a balloon toss with some random kids, and then we bought some pancake mix from a cool old mill off the highway.  The whole thing was quite refreshing.

TOMORROW IT IS!  7 YEARS.  WHAT A WILD RIDE.  HERE'S TO 7 MORE, AND 7 MORE AFTER THAT, AND 7 MORE...

My Little Lovely...

She had a cavity!  Thank you sugar and bad brushing/flossing habits.  

For the amount it cost to fix her teeth we all could have flown across the country and back!  

Note to self...elect Dental Insurance next year!

My Reddish-Haired Wonder...

Blake is a baby no longer.  He likes to tell me 'No. No.'  He loves balls (must be in the genes...Bryce's, not mine), shoes, blueberries, M&Ms, and following Miss Adeline (I think deep down she loves him in return).  He gives kisses with a clicking of his little lips and only bites sometimes.  I miss his chubby baby-ness, it is fading.  He understands 'Bye-Bye' means go find your beloved shoes and sit by the door.  As my Dad would say, 'He is a good boy.'

Hmmm...

What to write?  We have been all over the place recently.  It has been fun, but where do we go from here?  My kids always seem to forget how boring I really am until we are back in Florida, just the 3 of us during the day.  I think I will have to trick them by making sure we have at least 1 fun thing to do everyday.  But, what to do with Bryce?  An art project involving glue and brightly colored paper just doesn't cut it.   Hmmm...  

Some Fantastic...

Bare Naked Ladies was awesome!  We ended up taking Adeline and Blake with us.  She fell asleep and he danced/wiggled the whole time.  Fun family event.  They are touring this coming fall.  We will definitely be in the audience somewhere...

Despite their questionable name, I love this band!  I am so excited.  We are going to see them on Saturday.  Their concerts are some of the best I have ever been to (it has been awhile).  Woo hoo!!!

Beautiful Ballerina

Her name is Adeline.  She officially started ballet today.  She was so excited.  She tried very hard to listen.  The smooth, fluid-like grace of the ballerina will come.  She was joy to watch!
